Individuals, families, businesses and community organisations can help fund the preservation of a particular newspaper, place or collection. Talk to us about supporting a project that has meaning for you or your community.

The Preserving Local History and Educational Trust is a registered New Zealand charity, registration number CC60157, and an approved donee organisation. New Zealand taxpayers may be eligible to claim a tax credit of one-third of eligible donations of $5 or more. Donation receipts are available for eligible donations.

Digitisation is more equitable, and can deliver the stories, adverts, photographs and editorials that make up a newspaper to everyone anywhere where there is internet access. Schools and public library networks provide free internet to those who do not have internet at home”
